Oak Hill Tree House

What started as a renovation and addition for an advertising couple who own a thriving local agency that has an international book of business turned midway into a full tear-down with custom construction.

The result was a 7,000-square-foot home, built by Jewell and Associates, with architectural design by CDP Architecture. The home was designed to capture its expansive hilltop setting, adjacent to a tree sanctuary, from nearly every room. Betsy and Lauren were involved throughout the entire build process, though it was the unique kitchen that would go on to define the project publicly.

The kitchen’s design brief, centered on refuge and the interplay between interior and landscape, captured everyone's imagination. The kitchen was named a finalist for an exclusive Wolf/Sub-Zero award, and the brand, connected with its beauty, went on to film and photograph it for their national campaign, footage that still lives on their website today.
