SLK Clinic

Before SLK Clinic had a single client, it was an empty, vanilla shell of 2,500 square feet, with a practitioner named Jennifer who had a clear vision for how her practice should feel. Modern Remains came on as the clinic's first team members, compiling the scope of work, producing interior architecture drawings and specifications, and securing contractor bids to get the project off the ground.

Modern Remains provided all wall drawings and specifications, door hardware, cabinetry, and lighting and life safety plans, each stamped by a certified architect. Working from Jessica’s brand vision, built around organic forms, the team turned to biophilic design principles, studying the growth patterns of locally found ivy, and translating them into a custom Weitzner bark wallcovering installed behind the reception desk. Custom artwork throughout was commissioned by local artists, drawn from relationships Betsy and Lauren had cultivated through their own showroom and gallery space. What began as one clinic has since grown into a thriving business with multiple locations.
